Developer New Empire Corp recently celebrated the topping out of Hendrix House, a boutique condominium project at 250 East 25th Street in Manhattan’s Kips Bay neighborhood. Sales launched two months ago for the 12-story development featuring a mix of 60 studios, one-, and two-bedroom residences, and inventory has already reached the 50 percent sold milestone. DXA Studio is the architect of Hendrix House with resident spaces by interior designer Paris Forino. Sales and marketing is led by CORE Real Estate, with co-exclusive agent One Realty.

Also of note last week, three contracts were signed at Hendrix House, a new construction condominium on the southwest corner of East 25th Street and Second Avenue. All three studio through one-bedroom units feature floor-to-ceiling windows, open kitchens with high-end appliances, and Hendrix House’s signature custom home offices with built-in desk and shelving system; the studio also has a private terrace. The contracts bring Hendrix House to over 50% sold.

Bentley Zhao’s New Empire has broken ground on 429 Second Avenue, a 12-story, 59-unit residential condo development spanning 44,671 SF in Kips Bay, Manhattan. The condo plan pegs the projected sellout at $85.9 million. Popular Bank provided a $7.4 million acquisition loan in 2021.

The full-service 12-story residential building will be designed by renowned architecture firm DXA Studio, and feature stunning layouts, finishes, and top appliances. Designed and programmed with modern living in mind, the building will offer a robust suite of services and amenity spaces. Designed by Paris Forino, common spaces will include a building roof deck and garden, coworking space, conference and media rooms, as well as a fully-equipped fitness center with steam room and sauna.

This week CORE Real Estate held a groundbreaking ceremony for 429 Second Avenue, a 12-story residential building in Kips Bay, Manhattan. Designed by DXA Studio with amenity spaces by Paris Forino and developed by New Empire Corp., the 150-foot-tall development will yield 44,571 square feet with 59 condos units. The property is located between East 24th and 25th Streets.
